yummy!

So thought I would pop in and tell you what I made today for food. I did a bit of a twist on my salad. I melted butter in a pan and added tumuric, hungarian sweet paprika, thyme, sweet basil, salt and pepper. I sauted 1/4 of a small onion thinly sliced for long strips and cooked that on a medium heat till they started to caramelize. Then I took one slice of the Multigrain low carb bread mentioned in the previous post, and diced it. I added it to the spices, butter and onions tossed then finished in the oven till crispy. Not too long or they will burn.

Then in a separate large bowl I added the sweet kale mix I got from costco, you can use regular salad greens. I like to mix different types. Pull the croutons out of the oven and let cool slightly. Your onions should all look slightly crispy not burnt, if not don't worry it'll take practice it will still be yummy! Add to salad and I had Kraft Sundried Tomato and Parmasean cheese dressing in the fridge. I topped with some greated Dubliner cheese but a Parmasean or Asiago would be delicious here. Toss and enjoy.

For dinner I made a bechamel sauce and added tumuric and curry powder and finished with dubliner cheese. Set aside. Packaged sauce from knorr works just fine or make from scratch. I heated my oven to 350 and roasted cauliflower which had been tossed in oil curry power, tumuric and salt and pepper. Roast till tender and golden brown. Set aside as well. I also sauted off some onions. I cooked of some pasta, elbow in this case, and tossed everything together. You can eat as is or if you have a baking dish fill and top with cheese and bake off till golden brown.

You can have tons of different flavors depending on the spices you use. Have fun. As you can see I picked a flavor palette and just went for it. I like to do that when I experiment because I am not hitting alot of different flavors and confusing my pallette. Later I will write these up like a normal recipe but I want to share right now to show you my thought pattern. I go nuts in a kitchen and can make some yummy things and some not so yummy things. I mean disasters lol. So have fun. And share what you have created. I will eventually have a working phone so I will take pictures to show and have a better layout of the blog. But till then I can only learn. GN y'all I'm gonna go stomp some Kuppa's!
